Same group size doesn't mean same terminal style, though. I still measure the tray and compare the terminal position to the old battery before approving a purchase. Fitment checks are cheap; labor claims aren't. A cross-reference chart is a starting point, not a permission slip.
2. Why pick a lithium battery in H7/Group-94R?
The honest answer is weight plus consistency. A lithium H7 can be about 20 to 25 lb lighter than an equivalent AGM. In a shop that does a lot of battery swaps, that's not a small thing. Usually, yes. Many H7/Group-94R cars have regulated charging that works with lithium. Neither is necessarily a battery defect.

The outside of the battery is the first quality signal your customer sees, and it's also a useful warning. Keep cleaners away from any seam or label edge, even if the case looks sealed.
6. Do accessories like a Bronco trailer hitch and wiring harness change the battery spec?
Not in the way people expect. A trailer wiring harness draws current only when the trailer's lights or brakes are running. And the best cold air intake for a BMW F10 is an airflow part, not an electrical load. Neither one tells me to change from an H7/Group-94R.
The thing that does change the conversation is continuous high draw: an electric winch, a large inverter, or long periods of idle with heavy electrical load. Those are load-planning questions. Add up the actual current draw and the vehicle's charging capacity before you blame the battery. A trailer brake controller with a small constant draw is worth noting, but it's still not a group-size decision.
7. Is a lithium H7/Group-94R safer than a normal battery?
I won't use the word 'safe.' A well-designed lithium battery with a BMS is a controlled system. It has over-current protection, cell balancing, and temperature protection. That's a different risk profile from a conventional battery, which has its own care requirements.
But a lithium battery is still a lithium battery. Physical damage, improper charging, or a bypassed BMS can cause problems. I always make sure the case isn't stressed during mounting and that any charger used has a lithium-compatible profile. Mounting orientation matters too; follow the manufacturer's position instructions. No battery should be sold with a 100% guaranteed label.
